My name is Matt Lonergan
I've been working in Retail Management for well over 30 years and recently achieved my life long goal of received a college degree. During my time working and going to school, I realized I was getting tired of the commercial products and their unnatural ingredients. At the same time a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. During his treatment his hormones levels were fluctuating and he was looking for a way to improve his levels naturally. We started talking about essential oils.
I decided to investigate the properties of essentials oils for his needs and gifted him with several oils one year. During the research of finding what may help him, I kept finding information and recipes on making bath and body care products like lotions, lip balms, colognes, perfumes, hand creams, and soap. I couldn't stop reading about the possible healing benefits and the excitement of making my own products to eliminating ingredients I already knew I didn't want in my products.
I started small, making items like lip balms, lotions, and pomades. I refused to make soap at the time because, for some reason, it made me nervous! I was enjoying how the products made me feel that I began sharing the items with friends. My experiments were getting so many compliments as my friends shared my products with their friends, that I decided to open my own small business- still refusing to make soap. After about two years and continuous requests, I decided to finally attempt making soap. And I am so glad I did, I don't know why I waited so long!
And that is how I started. I still enjoy making all sorts of products and soaps have actually become my favorite product to make!
